linens and things

Somewhere in my wild forays into the depths of internet window shopping, I came across Rikumo. I wish I could say it was a well-researched move on my part but it really was more of a stumble, starting with one good site and reaching further and further until... this.

Rikumo is a webstore of really lovely Japanese-made household goods. The store was founded in 2010 by Yuka and Kaz Morihata. I keep coming back to the striking simplicity of the beautiful products. I have the black on black charcoal toothbrush (my toothbrush is more stylish than yours) and I am obsessed with the Flax Line Organics towels but have yet to place my order because, let's be serious, I am still a poor student for a bit longer and I can't simply be redecorating my life at this time.

So I window shop. And imagine how comfortable and chic my petite apartment could be.

neat

I know I promised Aletha that I would write a post on Internet shopping basics and I really thought this was going to be the week

BU

It is 11:17pm, I am full of delicious jamacian food, sleepy, and I need to do a bit more research on the subject so instead I am going to do something predictable and give you a link to something neat that you haven't heard of yet. LEIF

LEIF is based out of Brooklyn, New York (like some other things that I love) and is curated by Stacy Anne Longenecker. The objective is to "present the most special, beautiful things that add a unique touch to day-to-day living."

This shop is pretty neat. Very understated, it showcases a small collection of various items at a time with stock changing on a regular basis.

a beautiful mess

Spring is in the air. And what that means is it smells like barbeque and sunscreen outside. The sunscreen might be in my imagination but I swear I can't walk more than a block without smelling someone else's dinner sizzling.

But what am I doing out and about, really? You know and I know I am hitting the books right now and my jaunt outdoors was in the name of groceries. And maybe a small tea. And maybe a small chat with a friend.

While I am getting my learn on, I wanted to leave you with some craft-inspiration because that is what spring really is about. Creating. Eleven more days, and I will get to join the real world again. You're all invited.

Enough about me. Meet the babes behind A Beautiful Mess
